In Memory of Benedict XVI

Four classes of The Rome Experience (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012) were greeted by His Holiness Benedict XVI during his general audiences and annual Mass on the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul. We are grateful for these fond memories as we celebrate his life and pray for the repose of his soul.

Fr. Ryan Brady, Associate Program Director of The Rome Experience, shares of his experience in Rome today:

“Thanks be to God (and thanks to a very determined Bridgettine Sister), I was able to spend a half hour in prayer with our beloved Pope Emeritus, Benedict XVI. I asked him in a very special way to bless and protect The Rome Experience and the generous men and women who help make The Rome Experience possible. Tomorrow, I will concelebrate the funeral Mass for Pope Benedict. The Rome Experience seminarians and benefactors will be in my heart on this blessed occasion.”
