The Rome Experience is designed to complement existing programs of formation in diocesan seminaries for seminarians who have completed their first year of theology by the start of the program. Seminarians interested in applying must be recommended by their bishops and vocation directors.
All applicants must have a valid passport for international travel. For non-American citizens, a visa may be required for travel in France and Italy. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain all required travel documents.

Acceptance into the program:
- Upon receipt of your application, you will be contacted and a convenient time arranged for a telephone interview.
- You will be notified of our decision regarding your application and scholarship request (if applicable) by Monday, February 5, 2024.
- Upon acceptance into the program, you are required to submit your deposit for the airfare to/from Europe by Friday, February 16, 2024.
- You are responsible for communicating your preferred return city and dates to the Program Coordinator.
TUITION & FEES
The tuition fee for the program is $10,000. The fee includes land transportation, room and board, honorarium fees, entry fees to museums and historical sites, and air travel to Ars, France. The following are not included in the tuition fee: airfare to/from Europe, personal expenses, and personal/optional activities outside of the program.
