National Study of Catholic Priests
Today, The Catholic Project, an initiative of the Catholic University of America, released the highlights of their recent National Study of Catholic Priests. This work includes qualitative and quantitative results collected through collaboration with Gallup, Inc. and the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA) at Georgetown. The largest survey conducted in over fifty years – with over 3,500 priest respondents across 191 dioceses – addresses well-being and trust among priests and bishops.
While more in-depth analysis remains to be completed and communicated, the summary report is available at www.catholicproject.catholic.edu, along with access to the livestreamed presentation with project researchers held today at CUA.
