O Jesus, eternal High Priest, who, in an incomparable love for men, allowed Catholic priesthood to issue from Thy Sacred Heart, deign to continue to pour out on Thy priests the life-giving streams of Infinite Love.

Live in them, transform them into Thyself; Render them by Thy grace instruments of Thy Mercy; Act in them and through them and grant that they may perform in Thy Name and by the strength of Thy Spirit, the works which Thou Thyself has accomplished for the salvation of this world.

Divine Redeemer of souls, see how great is the multitude of those who still sleep in the darkness of error; count the number of those unfaithful sheep who are walking on the edge of an abyss; consider the crowds of the poor, the hungry, the ignorant and the weak, who are groaning in their state of abandonment.

Return to us again, dear Sacred Heart of Jesus, live again in very truth in them; act through them and pass again through this world teaching, pardoning, consoling, offering sacrifice, renewing the Bonds of Love between the Heart of God and the hearts of men.

We pray through the intercession of Mary, Mother of all hearts.

Amen.

Prayer of St. John Paul II

I asked him in a very special way to bless and protect The Rome Experience and the generous men and women who help make The Rome Experience possible.

Tomorrow, I will concelebrate the funeral Mass for Pope Benedict. The Rome Experience seminarians and benefactors will be in my heart on this blessed occasion."

- Fr. Ryan
In Rome, seminarians visit the Basilica of St. Mar In Rome, seminarians visit the Basilica of St. Mary Major, where they can pray before the relics of the manger of Christ and more closely unite themselves to his simplicity and humility as the Word made flesh.

We take time this Thursday of the Christmas Octave to pray for all seminarians and priests.

—

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ and of His Blessed Mother.

Amen.

Lord Jesus, as You once called the first disciples to make them fishers of men, let your sweet invitation continue to resound: Come follow Me!

Give young men and women the grace of responding quickly to your voice. Support our bishops, priests, and consecrated people in their apostolic labor.

Grant perseverance to our seminarians and to all those who are carrying out the ideal of a life totally consecrated to your service.

Awaken in our community a missionary eagerness. Lord, SEND WORKERS TO YOUR HARVEST and do not allow humanity to be lost for the lack of pastors, missionaries, and people dedicated to the cause of the Gospel.

Mary, Mother of the Church, the model of every vocation, help us to say “yes” to the Lord who calls us to cooperate in the divine plan of salvation.

Amen.

Yesterday, we celebrated the feast of another Apos Yesterday, we celebrated the feast of another Apostle: Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter. We read in St. John's Gospel that when Andrew learned from John the Baptist that Jesus was the Christ, "He first found his brother Simon and said to him, 'We have found the Messiah'", and brought Simon to Jesus. Let us pray this week for the intercession of St. Andrew, that all priests and seminarians enthusiastically bring those around them to the Lord.

St. Andrew Christmas Novena Prayer
Hail, and blessed be the hour and moment at which the Son of God was born of a most pure Virgin at a stable at midnight in Bethlehem in the piercing cold. At that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, to hear my prayers and grant my desires:

For priests, seminarians, and all vocations.

Through Jesus Christ and His most Blessed Mother.

Amen.
Tomorrow, we celebrate the Dedication of the Basil Tomorrow, we celebrate the Dedication of the Basilicas of the Apostles Peter and Paul. Let us pray for the powerful intercession of these two great saints in this week's prayer for vocations!

Lord Jesus Christ, shepherd of souls, who called the apostles to be fishers of men, raise up new apostles in your holy Church. Teach them that to serve you is to reign: to possess you is to possess all things. Kindle in the hearts of our young people the fire of zeal for souls. Make them eager to spread your Kingdom upon the earth. Grant them courage to follow you, who are the Way, the Truth, and the Life; who live and reign for ever and ever. Amen.
As we celebrate the Dedication of the Lateran Basi As we celebrate the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica, "mater et caput" of all churches, we also mark National Vocations Awareness Week! Let us reflect on the words of St. Paul in today's reading, as we pray that all priests and seminarians be built up like living stones into a holy priesthood.

-

Brothers and sisters:
You are God’s building.
According to the grace of God given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building upon it.
But each one must be careful how he builds upon it, for no one can lay a foundation other than the one that is there, namely, Jesus Christ.

Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy.

1 Cor 3:9-17

Divine Savior, Jesus Christ, who has entrusted the whole work of your redemption, the welfare and salvation of the world, to priests as your representatives, we offer you through the hands of your most Holy Mother Mary, this present day, whole and entire, with all its prayers, works, and sacrifices, its joys and sorrows, for the sanctification of your priests, and for all those preparing for the priesthood. Give us truly holy priests, inflamed with the fire of your divine love, who seek nothing but your greater glory, and the salvation of souls. And you, Mary, good Mother of priests, protect all priests from dangers to their holy vocation, and with the loving hand of a mother, lead back to the Good Shepherd those unfortunate priests who, unfaithful to their exalted vocation, have gone astray. Amen.
Tomorrow we celebrate the feast of St. Simon the Z Tomorrow we celebrate the feast of St. Simon the Zealot and St. Jude Thaddeus, Apostles of Christ and martyrs. We pray through their powerful intercession that seminarians and priests follow their holy example of strength and selflessness.

O most holy Virgin, Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, by the overwhelming grief you experienced when you witnessed the martyrdom, the crucifixion, and the death of your divine Son, look upon your priests with eyes of compassion, and awaken in their hearts a tender commiseration for those sufferings, as well as a sincere detestation of sin, in order that, being disengaged from all undue affection for the passing joys of this earth, they may sigh after the eternal Jerusalem, and that henceforward all their thoughts and actions may be directed towards this one most desirable object: Honor, glory, and love to our divine Lord Jesus, and to the holy and immaculate Mother of God. Amen.
